TAILS offers a safe place for abused & neglected animals. Though our main focus is on equine, we do have a few dogs we have rescued who have become part of our families. At the present time we have 8 horses we care for. Two will be adoptable after they go through some training. Most are really sweet sanctuary horses who needed a place to live out their years. Above & beyond regular feed expenses we have training expenses to make some more adoptable … & medical expenses to make others healthier & more comfortable.
TAILS has had a 5013c status since about 2005. At one time, Angel Florey & her helpers cared for & found homes for 50-60 horses. Due to reasons beyond her or TAILS’ control, the situation for TAILS changed very suddenly. Most of the horses had to be fostered & adopted out ASAP. Dave & Candy Rotering had recently adopted Selena, a PMU mare & were fostering Freckles an Appaloosa mare with old injuries that left her essentially unrideable. When they found out about Angel’s dilemma, they agreed to foster those that she was unable to find home for. So Miracle, Flower & Moon (below) came to stay with them in Chino Valley.

A young woman who lives in one of our group homes would love to help take care of your horses. She already volunteers for the Humane Society and was very excited when I told her about your sanctuary. I wrote down your phone numbers and gave them to her caregiver. You should be hearing from them soon.
